This session discussed the status of European organic seaweed industries and producers. The sessions discussed the potential opportunities and obstacles that exist towards the development of the sector. The session revealed that there are clear opportunities but that careful drafting of EU regulations and coordination between the industries in the various member states is required to ensure that all have fair and equal opportunities for growth and development.
